R&B legends to perform in Austin

The classic R&B group Kool & the Gang will be performing in Austin this coming January.

The venue of choice for this event will be Austin City Limits Live (ACL Live), which is a state-of-the-art, LEED-certified venue that has one of the best reputations of any music venue within Austin.

After more than 50 years of active performance, R&B group Kool & the Gang’s performances are still in demand, and they continue to entertain audiences from across the globe. Known for such top hits as Celebration, Get Down On It, and Jungle Boogie, their catalog is still widely sampled today by top modern artists and featured in multiple Hollywood films. The group has also been honored with many prestigious awards, including over 30 gold and platinum albums and multiple Grammys and American Music Awards.

The concert will take place on January 7, 2022, and start at 8:00 pm. The doors for the event will open at 6:30 pm. ACL Live is located at 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. Parking for the event costs $2 per hour. Guests can also book a night stay at the nearby W Austin.
