The Lights Fest is a much-anticipated event for residents of Austin and surrounding areas. The fall event provides the opportunity to share light with friends and families.
The event is touted as being “surreal” and inspirational. Attendees enjoy live music and wonderful food while sharing dreams and goals. Sky lanterns including Tiki torches will be ignited by everyone at a specific moment lighting up the skies. As each individual lantern rises into the atmosphere, the moment is filled with awe, wonderment and peace.
The event allows for creating special memories, honoring loved ones, celebrating special occasions and commemorating events of importance. Upon arrival attendees should check in at the designated areas. These areas may be marked with Banners or Posters. Banner printing is typically done on vinyl and they are hung high for quick visibility. Poster printing creates vibrant signage that can be placed in specific areas.
At twilight, the activities begin. Dancing, meeting local artists and enjoying live music sets the evening on a great pace. Kids can enjoy face painting, bounce houses and other friendly activities.
Special instructions will be announced regarding the lighting of the lanterns. The event is required to receive 100% approval in advance from the local fire department.
The lantern experience will take place on October 5 at the Apache Pass Event Center. Various ticket pricing is available online.
