The band Big Head Todd and the Monsters will be performing at Austin City Limits this February.
The quartet consists of Todd Mohr, Brian Nevin, Rob Squires, and Jeremy Lawton. Their music primarily consists of rock, jazz, country, and folk.
The act has more than three decades of experience together, which has seen the recording of 14 albums (one of which went platinum) and touring throughout Europe and in the United States. In addition, the band has played sold-out shows and has had its songs streamed tens of millions of times.
Most notably, they performed their song “Blue Sky” at the Johnson Space Center to wake up the astronauts in the Space Ship Discovery during the STS-133 mission. Blue Sky itself was written at the request of astronauts on the Space Ship Discovery during the ship’s STS-114 mission. It exists, essentially, as a tribute to all American individuals involved in the space program.
Bands often supplement their shows by selling merchandise, with T-Shirts carrying their Logo Design a popular choice.
The show will take place on Friday, February 18, at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theatre, which is located at 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. The doors will open at 6:30 pm and the show will start at 8:00 pm. More information can be found on the ACL site.
