Chicago to perform in Austin

The classic rock band Chicago will be performing in Austin this March. This event will take place at the Austin City Limits Live Venue.

Chicago formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1967. Their music blends elements of pop music, jazz, R&B, and classic music. They originally worked as a cover band playing Top 40 hits in Chicago area nightclubs.

After moving to Los Angeles, they signed with Columbia Records and soon recorded their first album, 'Chicago Transit Authority'. This album reached No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart and reached platinum status. This achievement also earned the band a Grammy nomination for the Best New Artist of the Year.

From there, Chicago continued creating top 40 hit albums over the next two decades. These have sold over 100 million records, a record which makes them one of the world's best-selling rock groups of all time.

They have also received several praises and awards over the course of their career. Billboard ranked Chicago ninth on a list of 100 greatest artists of all time. The band also was awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.

The performance will take place on Wednesday, March 9th, 2022. The doors will open at 6:30 pm and the music will begin at 8:00. ACL Limits Live is located at 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. Venues like ACL Live can use flyer printing services to promote events such as this.
