Ingredients sourced from local farmers and producers will be incorporated into tasty dishes at Field Guide, an upcoming Austin weekend food festival.
As many as 60 top chefs will join area farmers at the Field Guide Festival, where farm meets table and diners see first-hand the connection to their local food system. At the same time, the event gives back to the community as a portion of the proceeds will go to the Central Texas Food Bank.
Since 2021, the festival has promoted local food, sustainability, and the strengthening of the relationship between growers, chefs, and the Austin community.
The weekend kicks off with a Friday Land to Larder Dinner at Boggy Creek Farm, a four-course outdoor meal. The following day, an agricultural symposium will feature speakers who will highlight food costs, the impact farming has on the community, and industry sustainability.
The festival culminates with a five-hour food experience showcasing the many chefs and farmers. In addition to the culinary delights, there will be a pop-up farmers’ market, children’s activities, and live music.
Organizers of food events such as this often use Print shops to provide printed materials such as menu cards.
The festival will be held April 25 to 27, with the Field Guide on Sunday, April 27 from noon to 5:00 pm at Fiesta Gardens. Tickets are available on the event website.
