Austin scores international soccer fixture

Next month, the United States men's national soccer team (USMNT) will be competing in Austin.

Taking place as the final part of the team's fall schedule, following September's matches against Canada and New Zealand, the USMNT will battle with Panama at Austin FC's Q2 Stadium.

Soccer fans can expect to see stars like Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie and Folarin Balogun line up in the friendly. When games like this are scheduled, stadium managers and event organizers may choose to promote them with flyer printing services to ensure a full house.

The US last battled Panama in this year's Copa America tournament group stage, with America falling to a 2-1 defeat at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The game was hotly contested, and featured a red card for both teams, so USMNT will be hoping for a reversal in fortunes this time around.

One cause for optimism ahead of the game is that the US has not only never lost a match played at the Austin stadium, but the team has also never even conceded a goal there. USMNT has won all four of its games at Austin FC's stadium, including matches in the Nations League, Gold Cup, and in World Cup Qualifying. To add to the evening's festivities, the game will also celebrate US Soccer's Hispanic Heritage Night.

The United States men’s national soccer team will play Panama at Q2 Stadium in Austin on October 12. Tickets can be purchased from online providers such as Ticketmaster.
