Austin residents and visitors will soon have the opportunity to learn about and taste beverages such as tequila, mezcal and sotol. The annual Austin Tequila Fest brings the culture of the well-known agave products to the area.
All attendees will receive a Casa Chapala Tequila Snifter glass along with 10 tasting tickets, an Agave Trail Guide Book and a bag of treats. While enjoying the many 100% agave-based spirits, guests can dance to Latin music or watch invited performers presenting cultural dances. Local Austin Schools focusing in dance will be onsite to perform dances, as well.
Cuisine pairings popular in Central Mexico will be featured by local food vendors. Vendors frequently use the services of local Print shops to create Banners for their booths. Banner printing can include the vendor’s business name, tagline, product information, and website.
A VIP social is planned for guests purchasing that level of admission, which will include educational presentations on agave history, trends, and production methods. A flight tasting activity complete with heavy appetizers and fresh cocktails is part of the experience. Special prizes and an entry to the Agave Trail rounds out the VIP package.
The Austin Tequila Fest will take place on November 2 at the Casa Chapala Mexican Cuisine & Tequila Bar. Guests participating in the festival must be 21 years of age.
