Austin already planning for Christmas

It may only be April, but the Junior League of Austin is making early plans for the annual A Christmas Affair. The event is celebrating its 45th year.

A Christmas Affair stretches across five days of holiday cheer with a market component featuring over 2000 retail merchants. These merchants and vendors come from across the country to display their crafts and products. The event attracts approximately 25,000 people every year.

Interested merchants may apply for space via the website. However, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the merchant selection process will be delayed as the team at the junior league is observing state and federal directives and guidelines for the safety and health of all. Check the website frequently for vendor application updates.

Exhibitors often work with a local Print shop in ordering Business Cards. Business card printing in advance of a show will ensure an adequate supply of cards to distributed to attendees interested in the merchants’ products.

Proceeds from A Christmas Affair benefit local charitable programs including FIT-Food in Tummies, Coats for Kids, and over 30 other community charities and non-profit organizations. Volunteers from Austin communities assist in coordinating the Junior League of Austin fundraising functions and projects throughout the year. The 2020 A Christmas Affair will take place November 18 to 22 at Palmer Events Center.
