The Anderson Chapter of the South Carolina Waterfowl Association (SCWA) will be holding a dinner in September to support its cause.
The Anderson Chapter Conservation Dinner is an event where folks can show their support for the SCWA while enjoying a meal at the Civic Center of Anderson. There will be multiple activities held at the fundraiser for guests, including a live auction and raffles. The money given to the SCWA will go towards funding educational programs and waterfowl habitat conservation. The SCWA is a non-profit group founded in 1986 by David J. Wielicki that aims to perpetuate South Carolina’s wildlife heritage. The organization has created several programs for the community, including Camp Woodie and Camp Leopold. The group also researches local waterfowl and has more than 500 chapter volunteers. The SCWA has many chapters throughout the state in cities like Orangeburg, Kingstree, and Greenville.
The conservation dinner will be held on Friday, September 10 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Those who are interested in becoming a member of the SCWA can pay $25 for regular membership or $10 for Woodie Membership. Businesses can sponsor the organization for $250. Raffle tickets can be purchased individually for $25, or in bundles of five for $100 instead.
