Upcoming enchanted ball gives kids a night out

The annual An Enchanted Ball is taking place in Anderson this month. It is a fundraiser for the Anderson County Museum’s educational programs.

The ball is for children between the ages of 3 and 12 and their caregivers. It is a semi-formal affair and guests are asked to dress in prince or princess attire.

The evening will consist of light refreshments and musical entertainment by local DJs. Dinner can be purchased from food trucks outside.

The event will give families the chance to celebrate together while learning about what the museum offers. They will also be able to visit permanent exhibits such as “Trade Street”, “Routes of History” and “By the Book” which is a history of education in South Carolina. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM, guests of the ball can arrive early to visit the exhibits or make a return visit.

To let as many Anderson residents know about this as possible, organizers may invest in Flyers that can be inserted in local newspapers or distributed to local schools and community organizations.

An Enchanted Ball will be held at the Anderson County Museum on June 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Tickets are $5 before June 16 and $20 after. For more information about this event or about the museum’s educational programs, call 864-260-4737.
