The Clemson Cooperative Extension Service, an outreach program run by Clemson University, is hosting several events and educational opportunities during the month of March, offering opportunities for those in nearby Anderson.
Two training programs will be held next week. The first is an all-day Pesticide Applicator Training on March 9 for those who want to obtain a private license to use pesticides on their nurseries, farms, or greenhouses.
The second is a daylong CAMM Initial Certification Training in Poultry on Tuesday, March 10. The class teachers how to manage a poultry facility and is the initial class for those who want to become Confined Animal Growers of poultry in the state.
Also, The South Carolina 4-H Sporting Clays Tournament will be held on Saturday, March 9 from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. This activity is a family affair with events in recreational shooting sports, hunting, and conservation. A barbeque meal will be provided all of those who are members of a team. Proceeds of the tournament will go to expanding and enhancing 4-H Youth Development Programs in South Carolina.
