The 23rd annual Christmas Gift Light Festival will be returning to the city for five weeks beginning on Thanksgiving weekend.
The event is a fundraiser for several local charities, including the Cancer Association of Anderson and the Salvation Army.
The park will be festooned with thousands of lights, holiday displays, and decorated Christmas trees. Vehicles of all kinds are welcomed to drive through the park to view the lights.
This popular festival attracts approximately 48,000 visitors each year who enjoy the many colorful displays. Other activities taking place during the festival are horse and carriage rides and photos with Santa. In addition, Santa’s Village will be open each night beginning at 5:45 pm.
Local businesses can sponsor a Christmas tree from $50 up to $200. They can also purchase advertising space in the program that will be available to all visitors from $100 up to $5,000.
Sponsors may also be recognized on displayed Banners, which will probably be obtained from Anderson printing companies.
The Christmas Gift Light Festival will take place at 3215 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd from November 24 until December 25. Admission fees are $15 per vehicle, $25 for a vehicle that seats 15 or more people, and $50 for tour buses.
