The Stone Creek Cove Golf Club in Anderson will be holding its annual Brighter Christmas Fund Golf Tournament early this month.
This is open to people of all ages and capabilities, as proceeds will go to the Brighter Christmas Fund Charity.
Items such as merchandise and gift cards can be donated by businesses and individuals in the area for the auction, which will be held after the tournament. Any items donated will be picked up by members of the planning committee.
Businesses and individuals can also sponsor a hole at the tournament, and their names will be displayed at the hole they sponsor. Fees for hole sponsorships range from $25 to $100, and all donations are tax deductible.
The Stone Creek Golf Course is located in Anderson along the shores of Lake Hartwell and was built in 1971. There are 18 holes that can be challenging for the avid golfer, yet also offer a good beginner’s course.
The golf tournament this year will be held at the Stone Creek Cove Golf Club, beginning at 10:00 am on December 6. The auction will follow at 5:00 pm and will be at the Clubhouse/The Grillman Restaurant.
The Homeowners’ Association of Stone Creek Cove, which owns and manages the course, may be turning to flyer printing to publicize the event throughout the community, and its goal to raise money for a worthy charity.
