Both the young and the young at heart from Anderson who have always wanted to see emergency vehicles, constriction trucks and other equipment up close will soon be able to do just that as part of a day that has been organized for the local community.
This year will be the third for the Anderson Touch a Truck event, and it will bring together everything from police cars and fire trucks, to farm equipment and construction rigs. Along with this, there will be lots of entertainment and other activities for the families who come out to enjoy while they learn more about public safety.
Law enforcement, first responders and other public safety personnel will be on site to meet with the crowd, and there will be an opportunity for all to learn more about what they can do in their own lives to prevent emergencies. Costumed mascots will interact with the kids, and bounce houses, food trucks, and Thomas the Train rides are just some of the other fun that has been planned for the day. Banner printing for this type of occasion can be provided by an area printer.
This community event has been set for April 21, and entry tickets are $5 each. It will be held at the Anderson Civic Center, and has been organized by the Junior League of Anderson County.
