Movie Nights in Carolina Wren Park continue this month with the showing of Ferdinand.
As with previous movies, this is a family-friendly film, and all members of the community are invited to attend. One thing to be aware of is that the movie could be cancelled if there is bad weather; if needed, there is a phone number to call and inquire. The movie nights have been a tradition in Anderson since 2014.
This is a free event, with no tickets necessary. There is no seating available, so people are advised to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets if they wish.
Snacks and drinks are allowed, but nothing alcoholic or in glass containers. A concession stand will be open for those who wish to purchase snacks at the venue.
The movie will be shown in Carolina Wren Park, on East Whitner Street, and the event is hosted by the City of Anderson Parks and Recreation Department. Due to the convenient location, there are businesses and restaurants not far from the venue, for those interested in food or drinks before the show. The movie series still has two more movies to go – The Black Panther in September and The Polar Express in December.
