First Lego Expo scheduled to take place in Anderson

The first annual Lego Expo is set to be hosted by the Anderson County Museum this summer.

Since it was first founded in 1983, the Anderson County museum has preserved items of historical significance from around Anderson as well as other cities and towns situated throughout South Carolina. The museum also hosts many programs, exhibits, and other events throughout the year for both adults and children.

For the 2020 debut of the museum’s annual Lego Expo, Anderson locals are encouraged to submit photos of their Lego models on the museum website’s online entry form before July 1. Both originally designed and constructed Lego models as well as those that are built from kits are permitted in the event. Participants are advised to take photos that showcase their models against a neutral background There are two separate submission categories for adults and for children.

Participants can specify whether they wish to temporarily display their models only for the purpose of the event or if they would be open to selling them. Participants whose models are accepted into the event will be notified by the museum. Poster printing is an economical and effective way for event hosts to advertise expos.

The ACM Lego Expo is scheduled to occur on Saturday, August 8 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
