AnMed Health has announced that it has opened new urgent care clinics in Clemson and in Anderson adjacent to the hospital downtown.
The CareConnect clinics will provide services for unexpected minor illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis, and will offer labs and X-ray equipment. Broken bones, strains, sprains, flu, colds, and respiratory illnesses will be able to be treated. Both locations will have weekend hours.
The medical director for the CareConnect in Anderson is Dr. J. Mark Baker. He practiced for 20 years at Iva Family Medicine of AnMed Health, followed by five years with the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in Hawaii and Family Healthcare Ware Shoals. He is now returning to AnMed Health having worked in the Abbeville Regional Medical Center emergency room and at Express Care Self Medical Group.
The medical director for the CareConnect in Clemson is Dr. Ed Jordan. He has practiced primarily in the Clemson community for more than 30 years.
AnMed Health might work with brochure printers to create a mailer for residents of the community with details about the services and hours of the new clinic.
