Annual fair offers fun for the public

The Great Anderson County Fair is taking place next month for 11 days.

The fair will have plenty of activities and events taking place to appeal to people of all ages. The Great James H. Drew Midway will have games and rides such as the Super Slide, the Circus Swing, and the carousel. Several animal shows will be taking place, such as pig races. There will also be live musical and other entertainment, both free and paid, and a wide range of foods will also be available for purchase.

Vendors will be on hand to showcase and sell their products and services. This will no doubt include arts and crafts and general merchandise. Local community and government agencies will also be providing information about their programs.

Last year’s fair also featured a petting zoo, which is likely to return this year along with other children’s activities.

Families from all over Anderson will be sure to visit the fair at least once. To ensure as many people know about it as possible, organizers will no doubt invest in poster or brochure printing services.

The Great Anderson County Fair will be held at the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center from May 4 to 14. There is an admission fee and rides are extra. Call 864-757-3022 to learn more about this year’s event.
