The yearly Boots and Barbecue fundraiser is scheduled to return to Anderson for its third year this spring.
The Lakes & Bridges Charter School originally started the Boots and Barbecue fundraiser as a way to support its Lakes & Bridges Capital Campaign. The school offers programs in the Anderson area to students who deal with learning challenges such as dyslexia to receive education through curriculums specially designed for dyslexic children. Fundraisers such as the Boots and Barbecue events help to fund the Lakes & Bridges Charter School’s efforts to continue updating equipment, maintaining grounds, and buying more Books and supplies.
Anyone who wishes to contribute to the fundraiser can register on Eventbrite for a fee of $75 per individual. The event will include a dinner, a cash bar, draws for prize packages, and a live auction.
The Anderson Boots and Barbecue fundraising event will include an outdoor setting with six feet of distance between tables to make social distancing easier. All guests must wear facemasks throughout the duration of the event, except for when drinking or eating. The organizers of similar fundraising events frequently turn to poster printing to create visually captivating printouts that showcase key event details, dates, and times.
The third annual Boots and Barbecue fundraiser is set to be hosted at the Beckley Inn on Friday, May 7 from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
