Anderson to host charity endurance run

Those interested in supporting a charity can participate in a running competition at the Anderson University Track.

The Bell Lap Endurance Run is a race where people can challenge themselves while raising funds for Ainsley's Angels of Anderson. The length of the rubberized track is 400 meters, and the direction of the race will shift every three hours. Meals provided by Upstate Ultra can be purchased for $7.50 in advance. There will also be an aid station where runners can receive cookies, crackers, and pizza. Participants can camp in the center of the university's track.

People who wish to help the event organizers at the race can volunteer for various tasks. Timing volunteers will monitor the chip timing software during the race to take care of any malfunctions. There are also roles for cleaning up after the race is completed, which includes tasks like packing up the aid station and staging area materials. Those who volunteer to cook at the event will help the onsite chefs make food items like hamburgers and potato wedges.

The Bell Lap Endurance Run will be on April 15 and April 16. Tickets to the event will cost $75 per person and $25 for those who are ages 9-17. Participants will receive racing swag like custom event stickers, complimentary race photos, and a wristband. Businesses that host races like this can also order Promotional Products to share with their attendees.
