The 2020 Greek-Mediterranean Festival is scheduled to take place in Anderson this October.
The annual festival was created by the Shepherd’s Guild, a non-profit organization that was originally established over two decades ago in 1999.
For 13 years since the event’s debut in 2006, the Shepherd’s Guild has hosted the Anderson Greek Festival each consecutive year. Now renamed the Greek-Mediterranean Festival, this event will commence once again this autumn.
The Greek-Mediterranean Festival will be held as a miniature festival that will feature live music, a dining tent, and take-out options. Foods that will be available at the event include: vegetarian stuffed grape leaves, spanakopita, doner kebab, pastitsio, fried calamari, roasted and grilled Greek-style lamb shanks, Greek village salad, Turkish lamb kofta, shish tabouk, and Burma baklava.
Companies and individuals are welcome to support this non-profit event through several sponsorship options. Available sponsorship choices include the $100 Bronze Sponsor, the $250 Silver Sponsor, the $500 Olympic Gold Sponsor, and the $550 Athenian Gold Sponsor.
This family-friendly Anderson event will be free and open to the public. Festival hosts frequently utilize the effectiveness of poster printing to produce economical, attention-grabbing advertisements that showcase basic event information.
This yearly festive event is set to take place at the American Legion Hall beginning on Friday, October 23 and concluding on Saturday, October 24.
