The 15th Annual Mistletoe Market comes to the Anderson County Museum next month. This specialty local event has, for the past 14 years, highlighted local crafters and artisans.
This year, there will be over 35 crafters and artists in attendance. Friday night will feature ‘Sip and Shop’, which includes light refreshments for the shoppers. Saturday will have different activities throughout the day, some of which are aimed at the younger shoppers.
There is free parking at the museum, which is located in downtown Anderson. Facilities in the museum are handicap accessible. Regular admission to the museum is free, as is admission to this event.
The market is held in the museum, so shoppers also get a chance to look around at the history on display. The museum boasts over 19,000 items in its collection, although not all are on display. Some of the permanent exhibits include textiles and turbines, Buena Vista park, and items from both men and women who have been involved in the US military. There are artifacts to see both inside and outside the museum, giving visitors plenty to explore.
Events like this often use flyer printing to help them advertise and spread word about the event. It will take place over two days – Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10. Friday’s market will be open from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, while on the Saturday it runs from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
