The Magnetic South Brewery in Anderson will hold a fundraiser and beer fest in August for a worthy cause.
The North Main Commons Craft Beer Festival is a local program where people can support a center for protecting children from abuse and helping survivors with their trauma. The festival will bring together more than 20 brewers for participants to try and will feature DJ entertainment from Tennis Legend. There will be vendors from The Beehive with booths selling items like Apparel and home decorations. People can also enter the Magnetic South Brewery to buy food and other merchandise.
The benefiting organization for the fundraiser is the Foothills Alliance. The organization has a Sexual Trauma Center where survivors can be served by counselors and a Child Advocacy Center with intervention specialists. The alliance also hosts several outreach and education workshops to help adults recognize and prevent situations that involve child abuse.
The craft beer fest will be on Saturday, August 6 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The cost to enter the festival and sample the brews will be $45 per person. Ticket sales will conclude on August 5. Each guest will be given a commemorative glass for the fundraiser.
