The Anderson Soil & Water Conservation District will be holding a class about rain barrels at the Magnetic South Brewery.
The 2022 Barrels & Beer Workshop offers guests an informative experience covering several topics related to protecting the environment. Educators will be attending the course to give presentations on subjects like water conservation, natural resource protection, and the importance of reducing pollution in surface water. Attendees will also learn how to install and paint their own rain barrels. Those who are 21 and up can qualify for beer.
The Anderson Soil & Water Conservation District is an organization that works to protect local natural resources while providing education to the public. The District Manager of the group is Pamela Richey, and the Education and Outreach Coordinator is Anaston Porter. The agency has created multiple programs to help benefit the environment, including Adopt-A-Stream and the Seed Library. Organizations like this can raise the public’s awareness of their goals by using brochure printing.
The 2022 Barrels & Beer Workshop will be held on Saturday, May 21st from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Adults interested in attending the course can pay $45 per ticket. Children will be allowed to participate in the conservation district’s workshop for free. Sales for the event will close on May 20th. A portion of the ticket sales will be given to the Anderson Soil and Water Conservation District Environmental Steward mini-grant.
