Microgreens are the sprouted seeds of plants such as radishes, sunflowers and chia, and a workshop that will be offered in Pittsburgh will show how easy it can be to grow them at home.
Even if one doesn’t have much space, it's possible to grow microgreens at home, and a class that will be held at Garden Dreams will provide an introduction to the practice.
The hour and a half long introductory class will provide a chance for future home growers to get their feet wet by learning how to grow some easy to sprout species and cultivars. They will find out how they can be cultivated even during winter, and everyone will be invited to sample some different combinations so they can discover how tasty they can be.
An introductory workshop may leave those who take part wanting to learn even more. Handouts prepared by a brochure printing company will make it easier for them to do so, and they may include full color photos or other graphic design components.
Tickets are currently available, and they are priced at $5.00 each. Fees and taxes may be applied at the time of purchase.
This opportunity to find out how easy and tasty it can be to grow microgreens at home is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm on November 14th. The location for the session will be 806 Holland Avenue in Pittsburgh.
