Pittsburgh fundraiser helps felines in need

Pittsburgh will get things rolling this October with an event benefiting an organization that gives homeless cats a second chance.

Pittsburgh C.A.T. and the Homeless Cat Management Team have put together an event they hope will put the “fun “in fundraising, while also raising awareness of the cause. The Pins for Purrs afternoon will work to do both, and it will take place at the Princes Lanes Bowling Center.

The activity offers three different ticket options, as bowlers may choose to come on their own, with a friend, or as part of a team of up to five bowlers. The tickets include three hours of striking out as well as shoe rental. Food and drink specials will be available, and a draw for raffle baskets of Corporate Gifts and other prizes will wrap up the event.

While the activity may be centered on bowling, there is still a chance for those who do not wish to play to get involved. They may stop by with a donation of cat care supplies, and they will have their name entered in the prize draw.

Princess Lanes will get the good times rolling with this feline-themed fundraiser set for Sunday, October 4. A sponsorship program is in place, and the final date to apply for a lane sponsor or lane sign sponsor package is September 23.
