April showers bring baby wildlife, and a Pittsburgh animal rescue can use a helping hand when it comes to its youngest charges.
This spring, Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) is running its “Fill a Nest” program, and this includes an in -person event. This “Wildlife Baby Shower” will be family friendly and will be held at the organization's East Side Shelter.
The plans for the day include an opportunity to meet the venue’s animal ambassadors, and the kids can make a craft. Snacks will be served, and everyone can learn more about how they can lend a hand to HARP to help support its work. Everyone is asked to bring along a donation of wish list items, which will help maximize the impact of the day.
The Fill a Nest campaign asks local clubs, companies, and other groups to consider collecting items needed for baby wildlife care, such as bird seed and sweet potato baby food. Every donation, small or large, makes a difference.
A fundraising or other campaign can count on being able to order a variety of marketing services from a local poster printing company. It will have options that offer a high return on investment, which may be important for a not-for-profit group.
HARP’s Wildlife Baby Shower is scheduled for Saturday, April 11 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The larger donation drive runs throughout April, and more information is available on its website.
