Upcoming events in Leechburg will bring in the holiday season in style.
The Marconi Club will be the setting for a spaghetti dinner that will raise funds to benefit the Leechburg Public Library. The dinner will include spaghetti, bread, and salad, all for the cost of $15.00. Dessert will be created during a bake-off, which will have prizes for the winner. There will also be a 50-50 raffle, and a cash bar.
Another event will take place courtesy of the Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company, which is hosting a turkey bingo. The event will be focussed on having fun and playing the game and enjoying the evening. The doors will open at 4.00 pm, with early bird games starting at 5.30. The official start of the evening is 6.00 pm. Admission is $35 if paid in advance, and $40 on the day of the games. The cost includes a light meal, plus a packet for 20 $100 games, and four $250 special games. A must-go jackpot game with a limit of $1,000 is also on the schedule. A “must-go” jackpot must be won before the limit is reached—in this case, $1,000.
The library fundraiser is scheduled for November 5, and the club is at 135 River Avenue. The turkey bingo is November 18. When events like these are planned, organizers can publicize them by using flyer printing to create handouts to distribute in the local area.
