Semper Gratus is hosting the 9th annual Shamrock Shuffle 5K and Fun Walk in Leechburg this March.
The event will include a 5K race, a one-mile walk, and a post-race dance party. Those interested in supporting Semper Gratus can also choose to complete either event virtually in their own time. The course is a loop that starts and ends at the West Leechburg Fire Department Social Hall. Check-in will open at 9:00 am and both events will begin at 10:00 am. The walk will not be timed. Participants are welcome to bring their dogs on leashes.
Registration is open online now. The cost is $25 per person for the 5K, $20 for the walk, and $25 for the dance party. Kids aged four and younger can participate for free. The first 300 people to register will receive free swag Bags. Sponsors often include Promotional Products in this type of gift bag.
Proceeds from the event will support Semper Gratus, a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit that supports kids being treated for cancer and other illnesses. It raises money for other related nonprofits including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The Shamrock Shuffle will take place on Saturday, March 22 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. The dance party will be later that day from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
