For the third year, the Leechburg Volunteer Fire Department is throwing a party.
The Third Annual Firemen’s’ Festival is a day of fun for the whole family. People coming to the festival will find basket raffles, live music, a car show, craft vendors, and food. Plans for the event are still being finalized, so there is no list of vendors or food trucks as yet. Organizers will have that information when the date of the party draws closer.
The end of the day brings a foam party, which is exactly what it sounds like — a foam machine fills a designated area such as a driveway with millions of miniscule bubbles that form a mountain of clean foam. Once the foam is in place, people young and old can run in and play, making “foam men,” and piling up the foam into various shapes. A foam layer could be as much as six feet high and 40 feet wide.
The venue is the West Leechburg Recreational Hall, and the date of the festival is Saturday, July 22. The party starts at 2:00 pm and winds down at 7:00 pm, which is the time of the foam party. When local events like this are planned, organizers can boost aware of them by using flyer printing to create announcements for distribution in the area.
