An upcoming event will honor residents of Leechburg and induct them into the local hall of fame.
The 18th Annual Leechburg Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony is being held in honor of Robin Patton, Ian Coyle, and Pastor James Arter.
Robin Patton is one of the hard-working volunteers at Cat Crusaders. The Leechburg organization, founded in 2018, works to set up fundraisers, trap and transport cats, foster kittens, and more. In 2022, Cat Crusaders neutered and spayed more than 500 kittens and cats.
Ian Coyle is president and founder of Semper Gratus, a non-profit organization that does good in the community, from helping build homes to holding fundraising events.
Pastor James Arter, of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, helps the needy in Leechburg with the Community Closet, where items of clothing are available for 20 cents each.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, May 7 at 5:30 pm, at the Gilpin Township Volunteer Fire Department in Leechburg. Cocktails are planned for 5:30 pm, with dinner following at 6:00 pm. The induction ceremony will follow dinner. Bishop Larry Kulick of the Catholic Diocese of Greensburg will emcee the event.
Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at the Coco Coffee Shop, Nextier Bank, and the Leechburg Public Library. When events of this kind are planned, organizers can use brochure printing to create programs that provide information about the honorees.
