The 54th Annual Fort Armstrong Folk Festival is returning to the Leechburg area this summer.
The four-day festival will feature a range of food vendors, entertainment, educational booths and other vendor tables. This includes a juried selection of artisans selling artworks and handmade pieces. A full list of vendors is available on the festival website. Vendors often use banner printing services to promote their tables at this type of event. Artisans include Crabbys Crafty Crafts, which sells one-of-a-kind wreaths; Da Recycle Bin, which upcycles old musical instruments; and GaGa’s Glass, which makes stained glass pieces.
The Main Stage lineup starts on Thursday evening with an opening ceremony, a tribute to local veterans, and a performance from the Kittanning Fireman’s Band. Other artists include The Shiners, Razor’s Edge AC/DC Tribute Band, and Joe Grushecky and the House Rockers. There will be a fireworks display on the Saturday at 10:00 pm and additional performances on the South Stage.
The festival is intended to celebrate Armstrong County, which includes Leechburg and neighboring towns, while bringing visitors to the area.
The Fort Armstrong Folk Festival will take place on Thursday, July 31 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm; Friday, August 1 and Saturday, August 2 from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm; and Sunday, August 3 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm.
