CollegeSafe: Personal Security for College-Bound Teens will take place this April in a local city.
Attendees can anticipate a three-hour session aimed at addressing personal security concerns commonly faced by college-bound individuals. The event organizer, Sam Rosenberg, emphasizes the importance of equipping young adults with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate potential risks associated with college life.
The course curriculum is designed to highlight the fundamental principles of personal security, emphasizing personal responsibility in safeguarding oneself against potential threats. Participants will learn to identify behavioral patterns indicative of danger, and gain practical skills to stay safe in various settings.
Attendees, both women and men aged 14 and above, are expected to engage in physical activities during the session. Comfortable attire is recommended, with a suggestion to avoid wearing arm and hand jewelry. The event promises an interactive learning experience, encouraging participants to approach the subject with openness and a readiness to learn. Additionally, all attendees will leave with a signed book by Rosenberg.
The cost to attend the event is $195 plus taxes and fees. Tickets may be purchased through the Eventbrite listing. Teens from the neighboring city of Cranberry Township are likely to be among those in attendance. Brochure printing can be a great way for organizers to provide individuals with take-home information at events such as this one.
The session will take place on Sunday, April 14 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at Live Ready, located at 119 Neely School Road in Wexford.
