Red suits to run in Cranberry Township
There will be a sea of red next month in Cranberry Township as runners of all ages take to the streets for Run Santa Run. Three races are included in the annual event, making it attractive to all abilities.
The popular Run Santa Run 5K or 3.1-mile race, features runners and walkers dressed as Santa, elves and reindeer. A shorter race, called the Jolly Mile, will be just as festive. Plus, there will be the Kids’ Reindeer Ramble, a special children’s race for those 10 and under.
In the 5K race, the three best overall male and female finishers will receive gift cards. Other awards will be handed out to the first place male and female masters athletes and the top three finishers in nine different age categories.
Race participants are encouraged to bring a children's gift or monetary donation to Amachi Pittsburgh. The non-profit organization advocates and provides protection for children and families most affected by the criminal justice system.
The running event is presented by GCCC Race Timing and Management and other sponsors. Businesses who run events such as this often use local print shops for their logo design services and items like race t-shirts.
Run Santa Run will be held December 13, 2025 at 260 Graham Park Drive in Cranberry Township. Up first will be the Reindeer Ramble at 9 am, followed by the 5K at 9:10 am and the Jolly Mile at 9:15 am.
