Rib cookoff headlines BBQ event in Cranberry Township

After a successful inaugural event last year, the 16066 BBQ event returns to Cranberry Township next month.

Organizers of annual community events such as this often use poster printing as part of their advertising.

Participants in the rib cook-off competition will put their grilling talents forward to be judged by a committee that will include Township officials and other guests. Both individuals and groups are invited to take part in the contest and have a chance at prizes.

The Township will supply ribs for the cook-off, but the participants will have to provide their own barbecue along with seasonings and sauces to add their own special grilling styles and experience.

Attendees will also be able to purchase food from a number of different vendors including Back Home BBQ, EF’n Good BBQ,The Flame BBQ, J&J Smokehouse, PGA Eats, and Keke’s Nomandic Creations

Desserts and alcoholic beverages will also be available. Plus, the celebration will feature outside games, a children’s obstacle course, demonstrations by members of the volunteer fire department and live music featuring The Delaneys.

The 16066 BBQ Bash 2026 will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 11 am to 4 pm. The location is the Armstrong Great Lawn, based at the Municipal Center, which can be found at 2525 Rochester Road in Cranberry Township. Judging will take place at 3 pm. Further information can be found on the Township website.
