The Western Pennsylvania Light Up MBC Color Walk will be held next month in Cranberry Township in support of cancer research.
MBC stands for metastatic breast cancer, and the special walk is intended to draw attention to the need for research funding to help combat the disease. Funds raised will go to Metavivor, the only American non-profit group that specifically focuses on research of MBC.
The upcoming event will include a one-mile walk beginning with a blast of coloured powder to start the participants off with a smile. Volunteers at three stations on the route will toss more powder on the participants to keep the upbeat atmosphere alive.
Registrants can sign up as individuals or join a team. There will be pre-walk activities where walkers will warm up together, receive an event T-shirt, pose for photos, and enter to win raffle prizes.
The color walk will offer multiple sponsorship opportunities to businesses who will receive branding exposure on registration materials and through social media. Top contributors will also be provided space to set up a vendor table at the walk venue.
Businesses that contribute to charitable events such as this often obtain Logo Design services as part of their advertising and promotion.
The Light Up MBC Color Walk will be held on Sunday, October 11 at 9:00 am at North Boundary Park in Cranberry Township. Further information is available online.
