Rock concert near Cranberry Township

Three artists are coming together to rock Warrendale, a short drive from Cranberry Township.

Lita Ford is the headliner, with Neutral Loss and Rod Wilkins & The L.O.C. Band on the bill. Ford is an English-born American singer/songwriter, who began playing guitar when she was 11. She was 16 when Kim Fowley, a recording impresario, recruited her to become part of The Runaways, a rock band comprised entirely of women. The group won a record contract and dropped their debut album back in 1976 and enjoyed touring and recording during their heyday in the late 1970s. Ford played lead guitar and was a vital part of the sound of the band.

After The Runaways broke up, Ford went out on her own and succeeded in music, as well as landing film and television roles. Her biggest hit, “Close My Eyes Forever,” was featured on her 1988 album “Lita,” and went to No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Ford performed the song as a duet with Ozzy Osbourne.

Neutral Loss performs covers of classic rock songs like “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” and “Pinball Wizard.” Rod Wilkins & The L.O.C. Band open for Ford.

The concert is set for July 19 at 8.00 pm, with the doors opening at 6.00 pm. There is an early entry at 5.00 pm at the venue, Jergels, which is on Slade Lane in Warrendale. Poster printing is often useful in promoting events like this.
