A science fair is set to be held in Cranberry Township this November.
The event is titled ‘Mad Science: Planets and Moons; Suns and Stars’, and will be geared towards giving children the opportunity to explore the solar system while socializing. The class will take a hands-on approach as it teaches students the relative size of planets, moons, and the sun in our solar system. It will also explore constellations and the formation of distant stars and galaxies. Students will also construct their own solar systems as they put the knowledge into practice.
The session will have students dress up in planetary costumes as they each play their part. The interactive session is meant to stimulate students’ imagination as they learn the science of how our solar system and galaxies work. The class is open to students between the ages of five and thirteen.
The event is an effort by the Cranberry Township Parks and Recreation Team. They frequently host children-focused educational events such as these that are open to the entire community.
The cost for registration for this event is $44. Options for registration are available on the event’s listing through the Cranberry Township Parks and Recreation website.
Flyer printing can be useful when extending events such as this to a more diverse audience.
This event will take place on November 10 at Franklin Station South. This is located at 2525 Rochester Rd., Suite 300, Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. It begins at 9 am.
