Media shows its roots

The 14th annual Americana Roots Ramble Music Festival is taking place in Media next month, presented by the Downtown Business Authority and WXPN 88.5.

This is an event that will take place at various establishments along State Street. These venues consist of restaurants that require the purchase of dinner, some restricted premises, and many that will be open to those of all ages. In all, 22 venues will be participating in this year’s festival.

The festival will feature roots music such as bluegrass, folk, and zydeco. Some of those who will be performing this year include Charlie Grace, the Melton Brothers, JD Malone, The Ultimates, Butter Queen Sister, and Thunderbus.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Media Fire Company and Media Green-up's clean-up programs.

This popular annual event is sure to attract visitors from all over the Media area and will give the participating venues plenty of publicity. Many of the restaurants and bars will likely invest in marketing services provided by local Print companies to let the public know they are taking part this year.

The Americana Roots Ramble Music Festival will be held at various venues on State Street on April 9 from 7:00 PM - 1:00 AM. Tickets are $15 until April 8 and $20 after, or $12 for members of WXPN. Call 610-566-5039 for more information.
