An opportunity to learn more about local nature is on the horizon for Chadds Ford residents, as a discussion about the role of bats has an official date.
Bats: The Mysterious Creatures of the Night is coming to nearby Concordville this October, providing a chance for families and interested individuals to come together and learn more about these nocturnal creatures while supporting a good cause. The experience will be led by Steph Stronsick of the Pennsylvania Bat Conservation and Rehabilitation, who will be coming to the host venue to meet with attendees and answer their questions.
Participants will learn about the natural history of these winged mammals. Stronsick will also look closer at the environmental impacts bats make and how they affect the ecosystem near Chadds Ford. Printing services can provide high-quality educational printouts that organizers can give to attendees as they arrive, adding to the learning experience.
Those who attend can also anticipate a bonus treat of getting to meet the Pennsylvania Bat Conservation and Rehabilitation’s non-releasable representative bats. The event is limited to 20 attendees using a first-come, first-served format. Donations are appreciated and benefit the nonprofit bat rescue.
Wild Birds Unlimited in Concordville will be hosting the educational gathering on Friday, October 2nd, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Interested individuals can make reservations and make donations online.
