Chadds Ford residents who enjoy learning and nature are in for a special event, as a live event will bring them closer to owls.
The Live Owl Event: Owls in a Box, is opening to the public next March, giving attendees an opportunity to learn more about the nocturnal birds and their nesting habits. The course will be led by Dawn White, an expert on owls. White will lead attendees on a learning journey that shares the story behind the Wild Birds Unlimited Barred Owl Nesting Cam while sharing some of the best footage it has captured.
The experience is being organized by Wild Birds Unlimited to help raise funds for the Indian Run Environmental Education Center. The proceeds will allow outdoor educators to provide future events like this in the community. Grassroots marketing campaigns can use poster and flyer printing to spread the word about such opportunities organically. With luck, guests may get to see a mother owl nesting with eggs.
The gathering is one of the organization’s most popular events, and tickets are expected to sell quickly. It will be held outdoors, and ticketholders should dress for the weather.
The event will be held at Wild Birds Unlimited in nearby Concordville. It’s scheduled for Thursday, March 5th, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Tickets are available online, and donations are encouraged.
