A training session in the heart of nature is coming to Chadds Ford this April, providing aspiring forest therapists the opportunity to earn their certification.
The Forest Therapy Guide Training Retreat, which is presented by The Forest Therapy School, has announced an upcoming workshop that is designed to help aspiring therapists earn their certification through an immersive experience. Enrollees will get to learn from experienced instructors while spending time in lush, flower-filled valleys and forests of the Brandywine Valley in Pennsylvania.
Students can expect a mindfulness-centered learning opportunity that helps them learn through experience rather than lecture. The movement toward forest therapy is backed by more than 40 years of scientific research. It is a form of therapy that promotes the health and wellness benefits of forest bathing or spending time in nature. Promoters can use poster printing to reach a broad audience and share additional information about the workshop with individuals in town.
The session is open to interested parties who are investing in self-growth, as well as for those who wish to share the benefits of forest therapy with others. A mandatory 6-week practicum will help enrollees deepen their skills leading up to the retreat.
Students will meet at the Brandywine River Hotel in Chadds Ford each morning of the four-night retreat. It starts at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22nd. Enrollment is open online and costs $2,400 per student.
