The Wong Moss Outstanding Alumni Award of Delaware County Community College will be given to Judge John R. Bailey, class of 1996, at its dinner of the Educational Foundation next month in Drexel Hill. Graduates of the college who live in Media may want to attend this special event.
Announcements of such awards are often made known to the public through flyer printing.
Those distinguished alumni who have outstanding accomplishments in the community, in their professions, and in education are recognized with this award. A former trustee of the College, the late Barbara Wong Moss, and her son, John, created the award in honor of her father, an immigrant from China who believed in the value of education.
After his graduation from Delaware County Community College, Bailey went on to Fairleigh Dickenson University from which he received a master’s degree in administrative science in 2009. Since 2012, he has been a Magisterial District Judge for Chester County. He has also worked for the Tredyffrin Township Police Department.
Bailey a member of the board of the Planned Lifetime Assistance Network of Pennsylvania (PLAN of PA) Foundation and is a volunteer and member of the board of the West Chester Food Cupboard. His primary advocacies are for the poor, the elderly, and the disabled.
The dinner will take on Tuesday October 15 at 5:30 p.m.
