Chamber gives big exposure to small businesses

The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Small Business Awards next month.

The event is also a showcase for member companies who wish to promote their business to their peers. The keynote speaker for the event will be Ray Didinger, who is the author of ‘The Ultimate Book of Sports Movies’.

The awards to be handed out include Small Business Person, Nonprofit Organization, and Small Business of the Year. Area businesses were able to nominate themselves as long as they had 100 or fewer employees, are members of the chamber, have been in operation for at least five years, contribute to the community, and belong to various trade and professional organizations. The winners will be announced on February 26.

Members who wish to rent a booth pay $125, which includes two tickets to the event. There are also sponsorships from $500 up to $2,500 and advertisements in the program from $25 to $100.

Due to the networking opportunities, many who plan to attend will no doubt place a new business card printing order in advance, perhaps via a Print company in nearby Media.

The Small Business Awards are taking place at the Drexelbrook Events Centre on March 19 from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Tickets are $50 for Delaware County Chamber of Commerce members and $75 for nonmembers.
