Theater in Bristol presents holiday show

A production titled “The Nice List” is now playing at the Bristol Riverside Theatre (BRT).

This is a lively musical with humor, catchy songs, and lots of holiday cheer. The music was composed by Gary Adler, and the book and lyrics written by Phoebe Kreutz, while Alan Muraoka is the director of the production.

In “The Nice List,” Santa leaves his North Pole workshop in the hands of the elves while he spreads Christmas cheer around the world. Ambitious Head Elf Chestnut and ever-optimistic Gumdrop lead the quirky team as they keep the holiday magic alive. Through mishaps and laughter, they discover that the real spirit of Christmas lies in friendship, teamwork, and believing in one another, not just being perfectly nice.

Ken Kaissar, producing director, said that this show captures the wonder and joy of Christmas that highlights the younger side of everyone. He added that it celebrates the fun of the season and reminds everyone that kindness is a choice that is timeless.

The BRT will be offering some special activities along with the show. Wine Down Wednesday will be on December 17 with complementary desserts and wine, while audiences can enjoy festive cocktails before the show on Thirsty Thursday on December 18.

Such activities and major holiday productions can be promoted throughout a town and neighboring communities with poster printing.

“The Nice List” runs through Sunday December 28.
