Bristol seeks applicants for holiday parade

The borough of Bristol is planning to hold its annual Christmas Parade next month.

While the parade is a highlight of the holiday season, it also serves as a reflection of the borough’s unique identity and community values. Families often return year after year to enjoy the festive atmosphere and continue traditions that have become part of their holiday celebrations.

The Parade Committee has expressed its excitement about the parade and said that planning is already underway for the event. A new committee will be guiding and organizing the Historic Bristol Borough Christmas Parade this year. Organizers aim to preserve the parade's longstanding appeal while enhancing the festive experience for residents and visitors alike.

Organizers are currently looking for participants in the parade such as performance groups and entertainers, local businesses, decorated vehicles and floats, bands of any kind, non-profit organizations, and community groups. Poster printing can help spread the word throughout a community, encouraging organizations, businesses, entertainers, and residents to take part in a longstanding holiday tradition like this.

Those interested in participating need to complete a form online. There will be a review of entries to ensure that the parade will be enjoyable and safe for everyone.

The parade will be on Saturday, November 29 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and will run along Farragut Avenue, Pond Street, and Mill Street.
