Italian dinner and trail cleanup day to come to Bristol

Bristol will be holding two special events next month.

Local Print shops can help spread the word about such events with flyer and mailers sent out to residents and those in neighboring communities.

The first will be an Italian Dinner at the Bristol Elks. The menu will include a choice of meatless lasagna, macaroni with meatballs, and shrimp scampi, as well as dessert. The cost for the dinner is $20 per person, $10 for children under the age of 12, and free for those five years of age and younger. The dinner will be accompanied by music. Dinners can also be ordered for takeout. This event will be on Friday, April 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC), also known as the D&L Trail Tenders, and the Friends of the Delaware Canal will also be holding a Clean Up Day at Canals End Road in Bristol. The task will be to remove litter and clear vegetation at the Delaware Canal’s southern terminus along Mill Street, just below the downtown area of Bristol.

The D&L Trail Tenders are residents who want to help preserve the local historic recreation resources for everyone to enjoy. It is a group of volunteers who have maintained trails, helped to remove trash, cleaned historic structures, and improved the trail experience for everyone.

This event will be from 9:00 am to noon on Sunday, April 19.
