Seasonal shows announced by Bristol theater

The Bristol Community Theater (BRT) has a full line-up of shows this season, as well as special performances for the holidays.

Such theaters often look to poster printing companies to promote their shows throughout a region.

Next month, the theater will be presenting Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morisseau and directed by Cameron Knight. This play is a recipient of the Genius Grant from the MacArthur Foundation. It is the story of four auto workers in Detriot who need to make difficult decisions about themselves, their company, and their loyalty to each other when they learn that their factory will be closing. This show runs from Tuesday, November 2 through Sunday, November 21.

An annual holiday tradition of the BRT is An American Christmas Songbook. During this, Keith Baker, the BRT Concert Band, and others will perform heart-warming holiday songs and favorite Christmas carols. The honorary producer of the show is John Martinson. This show will run from Thursday, December 9 through Sunday, December 19.

In early 2022, this will be followed by I and You by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Gia Forakis. This is the story of two high school students, one homebound by illness and another an athlete, who work together on an urgent group assignment from their English teacher. The play relates the mystery that brought the two together, making for an unexpected ending. This show runs from Tuesday, January 25 through Sunday, February 13.
