“Accentuate the Positive” will be coming to the Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia in June, presented by Jazz at the Ballroom. Residents of Bristol who are fans of the Great American Songbook will be interested in this event.
There will be music from the American Songbook that feature the much loved and recognizable songs people grew up with. This was the music that connected, inspired, and comforted people from the 1920s to the 1950s. Songs that are included in this concert will be “It Had to be You,” “On the Sunny Side of the Street,” “Cheek to Cheek,” and the 1944 hit by Bing Crosby, “Accentuate the Positive.”
Performers will include Champian Fulton, Pasquale Grasso, Carmen Bradford, and Joshua Banbury with Keith Balla and Ari Rolland. Such special and one-of-a-kind performances are often promoted throughout a region with poster printing.
The goal of Jazz at the Ballroom is to keep classic jazz and other music thriving by sharing it through singular experiences the American public can enjoy. The focus of Jazz at the Ballroom is to work with the most talented musicians on presenting the Great American Songbook in unique and intimate settings to embrace the timeless elegance of the music.
This event will take place on Friday, June 23, beginning at 8:00 pm.
