Community college plans open house

An open house for prospective students will be held by Bucks County Community College later this month at its campus in Newtown, and next month at its Upper Campus in Perkasie.

At both events, there will be staff members from the office of financial aid and other student services departments to answer questions, as well as representatives from academic departments to provide more information about the programs offered at the college. Brochure printing is often used for such events so that attendees can read more details about such programs.

The college offers over 80 majors that lead to short-term certificates or a two-year associates degree. Courses can be taken at the Newtown Campus, at the Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks in Bristol, the Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie, and online.

Director of Admissions, Marlene Barlow, said an open house is a great way for people to learn about the educational opportunities at the college. She adds that the college is a competitive choice as it is always looking to improve its academics and the physical campus, from introducing new programs that align with career options, to adding a new science building.

The open house on the Newtown campus will take place on Wednesday, March 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on the Newtown campus, and on the Upper Bucks campus on Tuesday, April 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
